"MALCOLM GO!"

In this coding class, we ran out of time to do another full project. Therefore, my professor had us make a “microsite.” We had to pick a topic and make ten individual pages highlighting major events or milestones. Many chose to focus on a musical artist and list their albums or songs. During this time, Brady had just announced his decision to leave the Patriots. Just like every other Patriots fan, I was devastated. However, his career in New England was incredible. I decided to highlight his career by taking twelve of his major achievements here.

Each page features the same information and has the same layout. At the top of the page is the date of the events that is being showcased. The background image was created by bringing it into Photoshop and removing the background myself. I replaced the background with a texture that the Patriots often use on their social media sites. There is a summary of the event in a gray box with a lowered opacity in order for the image to still be shown. I made sure to give credit to the source of the image as well as a note saying that my site is not associated with the New England Patriots. The footer allows the viewer to view the events in order or go back to the home screen. The hamburger menu also allows quick links to all the events.

This particular coding class introduced me to SCSS. I found it easier to organize my CSS, which is the point. I wish I had been taught about it sooner.

Also, for a while, my main struggle in my coding classes was making the site also work on mobile. This particular website translated onto mobile very smoothly, which was a great accomplishment for me.
